Galileo Connect products are designed around the most practical footprint for a data floor in terms of construction, power and cooling options. Each data hall is based on 1,000m² and at 1,500watts/m² and Tier IV power and cooling is capable of accommodating 400 ‘cabinets’. Each facility is capable of being up graded to 4,500w/m² offering the occupier flexibility and longevity.

GC One

This product comprises a 3 storey building of 5,653m². This facility has a standard design point of 1,500 watts per sqm with upgradeability to 2,000, 3,000 and 4,500w/m² inherent to the design. In addition to the technical space there is a 3 storey front office area providing service and general administration facilities.

GC Two

This product comprises a 4 storey building with a gross area of 7,303m2. This facility has a standard design point of 1,500 watts per sqm with upgradeability to 2,000, 3,000 and 4,500 w/m² inherent to the design. In addition to the technical space there is a 3 storey front office area providing service and general administration facilities with an additional 3rd floor office of 1,500m² specifically designed to accommodate staff in the event of a business continuity need.

GC Three

The GC Three design provides a more flexible multi tenant facility although the inherent engineering design comes from the standard GC 1 product. This building comprises 14,366 m². The ground floor provides for plant and equipment as well as security access. The second and third floors each accommodate 2 data halls. The 1st and 2nd floor data halls have their own separated plant and equipment infrastructure. This facility has been specifically designed for:
  1. IT service operators seeking to support multiple customers who have smaller size requirements and who seek caged or separated areas
  2. Large single clients whose immediate requirements may be met by 2 or 3 data halls and who seek to have inherent expansion within the same facility. As such data halls can remain slab to slab shells until equipment and plant installation is required.

Alternative Solutions

Galileo Connect has developed state of the art, highly resilient modular data centres based upon a standard form of construction. The modular design is intended to be applied to a range of client requirements and sites, but be self sufficient in function as one building or a series of linked buildings.

This product relies on the modular engineering design for the 1000m² technical hall which can be built in an existing building or a building to a customers specific requirements. The design provides a minimum of 1500watts/m² of power and cooling to either Tier 3 or Tier 4 levels of resilience. Variations around the modules size can be accommodated and this product is designed to offer bespoke solutions to the individual customer's requirements.
